But then when you leave your rig, it won't max out your CPU, right?

Right.

Stop asking "why would you do that?" We're in "the pursuit of performance" here.

I'm working on getting ubuntu set up now, though my RAM OC adventure has been going nowhere fast. Apparently I was only at 1333 (forgot to adjust after CPU OC was stable). Now testing at 1600 after abject failure at 2133 and 1866. buttkick.gif

How do I add f@h/team info to my profile? Was just looking @ krusher's stats and thinking how cool and informative it is...smile.gif

Someone will give you a better answer but it's somewhere in your profile.

Quite a bit better then the 2500k (atleast from a tc standpoint) . Working on a 6098 since noon and the 3570ks been steady at 29115 ppd throughout the wu in native Ubuntu 10.10 v6. My 2500k averaged 27250 ppd on an 6098. I could probably get 30k if i push the oc up to 4.9, but its stable at 4.8 and im happy with 29k, so its staying at 4.8 for now, lol. Arvidab has been playing around with a 3570k and is getting similar results. Im curious how its gonna do on 6097s as my 2500k dropped down to 26k on those.

Im also impressed with the temps. My 2500k at 4.8 runs 70c while folding on an h80 while the 3570k is at 60c on an h100

wowza! everything lookin good, 30k on 98/99's doesn't seem outta reach at all (I really hate these 6097's), I'm actually

surprised by the temps I must say. my 3770k is way high @4.5, 80-85c while folding, must be the hyperthreading.

I was gonna order a new 2500k to replace this one, as the voltage is way to high for 4.9 (1.52), now I'm thinkin 3570k biggrin.gif

thanks for the info mang thumb.gif
