Though on the note of getting IE back in the game, it needs a better addon system. And Smartscreen needs to crack down so hard. Other than that, IE10 is fantastic.

+1

Is a hilarious video tbh.

Video is funny. Thinking more of it reminds me of my desk in 1999, back when only cool kids knew about the internet. Lavalamp!

This is great news for most of the general audience who use Internet Explorer.

Hardly, many of us still have to develop for that crap on a daily basis.

It's like they think advertising to the audience that already ignorantly uses their ****e browsers is going to help.

They should instead just accept that google and mozilla did what they couldn't in a quarter the time.... and they did it better.

I've actually never had much of an issue with Internet Explorer, but I do hate supporting it due to the vulnerabilities it had in the past. I recommended Firefox/Chrome to everyone just to avoid ActiveX for those that don't need it.

I've always been a little curious as to why Microsoft cares if people use their built-in browser or not. Do they get some sort of income from it?

None that I know of. I'd honestly prefer if they cut IE out altogether and include either Chrome or Firefox instead (getting some monetary support from them for doing so of course). They would waste less money and time on IE, MAKE MONEY off including Chrome/Firefox, and have more money and time for Windows OS development.
