That would be an interesting number. Have a 25ghz chip, lol.

Nice to see people playing with Magnetite, my research stint was all about Magnetite @ above and below 120K and 30K.

Its very fascinating to say the least.

The article's claim that a 1 THz switching speed is thousands of times quicker than what we use today is dubious. Silicon transistors rated for tens of gigahertz are used commercially all the time.

I did read the article. My opinion still stands.

Then you're not very bright because the article itself says that magnetite is not trying to be a viable replacement for silicon.

i suppose quoting the article would prove that I read and understood it:
Quote:
Follow-up studies were conducted on a hybrid material that exhibits ultrafast switching properties at room temperature, making it more commercially viable than magnetite. Future experiments will attempt to identify other compounds and techniques to induce electrical switching, possibly creating superior transistors.

I could also scrutinize your previous statement to prove my reading comprehension skills:
Quote:

Please tell me what it is that magnetite is trying to do.

But who cares. I can state my opinions however I choose to, and in less space than it took for the individuals who came to say that I'm a sign of the downfall of this website. Well, you've all been here longer than me. Why don't you say something that actually has to do with the article, instead of kicking off a troll fest against me and making assumptions about my intelligence?
