I'll read the full article at work, but it'd suck to be the one guy left getting sued.

Yes! FINALLY.
Note: Never fall for their scare tactics.
I bet someone could counter-sue for a lot more since essentially they were being blackmailed with inconvenience/court_fees rather than any actual issue that they were going to be sued for.

Oh, and: FEW. TCHUR. PREH. CEH. DENT.

how can you sue 4000 people at once? lol

looks like they are gonna have to sue all of them individually. 10s of thousands of dollars, hundreds of paperwork and dozens of man hours at a time

It's like a reverse class action lawsuit. Nice try though. Kudos to Judge whatever her name is.

i would be p***** if i was that one guy getting sued (im not by the way!)
how would they do that, say they sue one person, they wouldnt be able to put all the fees, fines and such from the others that got off onto that one person would they?

coz surely suing just 1 person isnt going to get you that much, compared to suing 4000+ people

I don't think she is dismissing everyone except 1 particular person. They filed a case against 2000 and 4577 "Joe Does". The judge is basically saying you can file the case against only one Joe Doe whoever that might be.

Not only will it make the court process take longer. The requests to the ISPs for the "Joe Doe" may be needed to be done seperately now as well.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) Report, not respond to Spam (6) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular (7) Sequential does not matter as much as random for OS drives (8) Requirements come before hardware for servers

There was an attack from a certain board devised to prove that releasing people's IPs to the public is a bad idea and grounds for counter suit.
