Canada is just screwing themselves. We are capable of having proper internet, but at the rate that we are going, we will be among the worst in the world in terms of internet in a few years.

We pretty much are.

I don't know what signing a petition will do for us though?

It's estimated that 1% of the population is psychopathic.

So they'll know they've pissed off one psychopath for every 100 signatures.

That's a lot of psychopaths.

grouphug.gifthumb.gif signed. 80% of my dads family lives in Canada, so I consider myself part Canadian...aye...

I'm always happy to stick it to the many, regardless of country.

Petition

These caps are despicable, we have to stop this.

Edit: Just realized this is somewhat of a re-post, either way, this message can't be spammed enough.

No it's not really a repost, nice to see more news about it. Really we should have been speaking up 6 months ago.

EDIT: really 15% is nothing, this entire bill does nothing but hand over a monopoly to Bell (Rogers is just as bad too). It does nothing but give Bell the power to screw over all of Canada where ever there is no competition.

Qft.

Bell is easily one of the worst cell providers in the country in terms of pricing and service yet they are so big. Allowing this power to bell will just make things worse for end users and small business owners.

When it will be official? Because right now I'm about to switch from Bell to Acanac ( I want unlimited ) but if this CRTC thing will become official then I might just stay with Bell..sad-smiley-002.gif

I am right now with Acanac and from what i heard from tech support in Acanac all DSL will be caped. So no more unlimited. I personally dont know what to do. I used to pass 60GB a month 4 years ago but now with huge games, HD movies i hit 180GB in average a month.

Here take a look at the people responsible for this mess. They were probably like "I don't use more than 1 MB a month, all of Canada will just have to be more like me. (then goes to cash a large check from Bell Canada)"
