I love fiddling around int he mechlab but I also played my share of C6-classed games.. aka known as "stock"... most clan matches in MW3 were in the C6 format so, no fiddling around with your mech in the lab, it was extremely fun, although most people chose the same stock-class mechs give or take... one of the Madcat variants with the 15 Long-Rage-Missiles x2 and eppcs and I dont remember what else, I think it had Medium ER lasers too, and one of the Thor variants was very popular too, so ya theres definitely something for everyone.... I enjoyed c5 servers though, which meant you were able to customize your mech however, or who remembers c1? all lasers?
Mercwarrior 2: Mercenaries was the very first game I ever learned to play. Remember playing it back in like 1998 with my dad over a LAN setup and kept playing it all the way through MW3 and the MW4 variants. He still beat the crap out of my all through high school no matter how I did my setup... Can't wait for this to come out!
We just met, and I know this is crazy, but here's the source link, so read it maybe.

The most fun way to play MW was using an early version of this http://www.chproducts.com/retail/yokes.html
combined with footpedals to swivel the torso. It was awkward as all get out , until you got the hang of it, but once you did it was fun and it really helped immerse oneself in the game.
Dude, 90% of people who play MW use a joystick... it offers much easier manuverability and offers much greater game immersion.
Not sure if serious..you may be trolling. AND FYI, the BETA is due this summer.
Throttle control is generally better with a HOTAS system, but I don't really agree about piloting a mech.
I used a variety of joysticks with MW2 and primarily my Saitek X36/X45 with MW4, but I don't think a joystick is really an improvement over mouse and keyboard outside of aircraft. I use a mouse and keyboard exclusively with MWLL and will do the same with MWOL.

If you look at my sig pic to the left what does it signify? It is related to this thread.
Part of the reason I seriously got into PC gaming the last few years was in fact MWLL. Unfortunately, being relatively young and unexperienced tech wise, the guy who sold me the PC wasn't very helpful... I was running it on a 9400gt... somehow I still managed to be one of the best Aussie players up until the release of like 0.3.0 or something I would still be playing if there were actually Aussies still playing, ping is too high most of the time for overseas servers, only one I remember truly working was Smoke Jaguars Den (JUST) and the TLL Texas server (now I'm showing how long ago it was since I played...).
Also, to other BT and MW nerds out there... what part of the BT universe is my username based off...?
