There were two Kickstarters that I really cared about, the first one failed, which sucks big time, at least this one made it.

Looks like Grim Dawn, which I've backed. Grim Dawn will keep me busy until this comes out.

Just....yeah. Donated for sure, this looks amazing. I love how Kickstarters seem to be the best progression in the gaming industry. If independents can do this kind of work sitting in a basement, why can't big dev's do this sitting in a multi-million dollar building. It blows my mind, but if these kickstarters get this kind of love maybe it will push companies to give us some love. This tech is not far off or unreachable, it is being done in an attic or a basement or someones garage.

I would rather support this guys project than anything EA, Blizzard etc does.

Not usually my type of game but that combat system looks seriously awesome, might have to back this.

I've gone from rarely even looking into kickstarter projects, to looking for the next one wink.gif

Edit: how do I pledge? Or is it all done now? Can't see anywhere that let's me do it

Indi Devs are not under a business model, so they are free to try the newer unproven technologies. If an Indi fails it only affects a finite group of people financially. If a Big Company fails you have lots of people and careers at risk. So it is safer business wise to wait for these little guys to experiment and buy them up when it looks like a proven model. That is why in many respects the First of a game from a company can be the "best" rolleyes.gif

Kind of sad, really. I like what Epic Games does; they create a game engine and then license it out. If I had the skill and expertise, that's what I'd try to do. Sounds like a great way to maintain control of your products, while still making money off the big unexciting fish... smile.gif

So happy all our contributions have made this project a reality. Thanks everyone for making other people aware this existed and to those who put their $ where it counted.
