This... I don't understand why people complain but never want to do anything THEMSELVES to fix it or at least contribute to help.

You're mistaken. Path of Exile isn't even out of beta yet, so there's no rofling going on, I'm afraid. It's also not funded from a Kickstarter campaign. It's F2P, supported by micro-transactions. Honestly all you had to do was browse the front page of their website for half a minute to get this information thumb.gif

Problem is people are going to hold this to the standard SimCity set years ago, and it's never going to measure up. I wouldn't waste money supporting this, there are already other alternatives. And from those few screen caps they have up, it looks...awful.

Pretty much what happened to Cities XL. Not really a bad game in its own right, but it's perpetually compared to Sim City (whatever version you happen to prefer).

I'd see this as in worse shape though. At least Cities XL has a full game to play. Civitas is trying to get people to pay for a sim game that won't be out till at least late this year. On the other hand, based on some of the stuff in their forums, it appears everyone is going to paint their own vision of "Sim City" onto the game. I can only see a lot of people soon to be very disappointed.

I had a gut feeling that this wasn't going to last long.

The game got funded privately, so they closed the kickstarter. If anything, the game might have a chance now.

Thats pretty kickass, better news than meeting their Kickstarter goal.
I hope we don't hear anything more from them until they have a LOT more to show. They have a lot to prove.
