That was the original idea, but if you've been keeping up on the game you can see that the developers have sort of run away with the Fallout universe and all the opportunities it creates. Recently there was a story on here, for instance, that stated how Fallout will have (In one form or another) 200+ endings and is approaching the sheer size and scope of Oblivion. Bethesda, I think, is a company that worries about graphics insofar as it takes to not make people vomit, and then they worry about packing so much content in the game that you could swim in it for years.

The graphics look good enough, as long as the game play is amazing than I could care less if it uses the HL1 engine.

dude, zombies in a jungle, oh my god, I would never be able to play it for more than 15 minutes, even with the lights on.

I know I'm being 'that guy' who chimes in on the topic 5 minutes after the conversation has moved on, but as far as image quality is concerned, I have a very hard time looking at a static image to get a feel for the game.

I know STALKER has been mentioned a few times and it's a classic example of a game with ugly looking stills, but in play the game looks amazing IMO.

The JEEP club O||||O

The Web puts all of the world's knowledge at our fingertips; unfortunately it's mixed up with all of the world's crap.

It shouldn't be about the looks. Not with Fallout. I still have a few cells left on that alien blaster I found, so thread carefully Bethesda .
