They have them in the US. There are some in malls and movie theaters. Racing, dance and shooters.

I will tell you they are definitely still going strong in japan. There are little arcades every where with street fighter games and the such. that and them damn gambling games. they have like gymnasium sized arcades with those stupid token games. Then they have the other one, that is pachinko with the little silver balls. usually ran by the Yakuza. Japan loves games.
