I've totally forgotten about this. When did they plan on releasing this, next year? Why would I buy this now with the apogee drive 2? I think they just missed their window.

I have been waiting for months to buy an Eisberg cooler. But it seems to have disappeared down the rabbit hold. Can someone recommend a high end cooler for an Intel i7 3930K system?
BTW, if I have water cooling, do I also need a special CPU fan like that Noctua-NH-D14?

I also have been waiting for months but i just got frustrated last week. It's not the wait that pissed me off but not being told when it's going to be released. There isn't anything whatsoever on their website either regarding eisberg.
Anyways so i pulled the plug on this one and got myself an H80. Runs quite nicely with my I7 2600. Not overclocked.
Also i managed to fit it like a glove into my small Thermaltake Armor A30 case with a tiny bit of modification.

You won't need a special fan for water cooling but you can change the stock fans that come with the unit to make it run quieter(usually less performance).
You can also adjust the fan speed on H80 to suit your needs. I keep it in med all the time. I don't even hear it running.

Goodluck with your choice

Ive found the prices for the 120mm and 240mm rad. The video is in dutch but I'll translate it. Seems like that informer is from cooler master.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjtdszY5U2k

120mm: 130 Eur
140mm: 140 Eur

Reason why, because it's not that much performance between them.

He stated that the release date would have been around May but yeah.. You know..

It's made in Germany.

In my experience, these things are usually price 1:1 despite differences between the euro vs dollar. So my expectation is that this will debut for $130/$140 in the US.

These will be the first sealed liquid cooling units that are actually water cooling and not fluffed up air coolers. Will be great for those looking for an alternative to the underpowered and under performing H-Series yet aren't quite sure about custom systems.

If they make available mounts for GPUs and sell radiators individually, they will be competitive with the XSPC RASA/RAYSTORM kits...

Thanks for the update. I also got tired of "waiting for Godot." I got the Thermaltake Extreme cooling system to be put in my HAF 932 case. I should get the system from the builder next week.

alot of companies seem to be doing the same thing, where coolermaster has taken it up a notch, and for someone who wants the best cooling without the price of a custom loop, i think they would have to go with this. i like the fact that they are making thicker rads than usual, because most rads are like 25mm to 38mm. the only big difference between most companies are the fans. i like where this is going! biggrin.gif

Assuming that these perform as expected (which to me is about 30-60pct worse than a custom loop making them still 40-70pct better than a Corsair Hxxx), there will be quite a shift in off-the-shelf "liquid cooling" hierarchy.
I would expect, performance wise, it to be somewhere along the lines of:
1) CM Eisenberg
2) Thermaltake 2.0
3) Antec 920
4) Corsair H-Series

Antec and Corsair are so similar that they are rated based on performance per dollar.
