There has to be some way that the community does not lose your work, reviews and articles. Can they be posted as a sticky here as attached files or something?
I don't accept all of that knowledge and information just disappearing. There has to be a way!

Everyone, chime in. We can't let this info just fade away.

Everyone, post your concerns and ideas. Send PMs.

I'm not.

He "retired" before, shut everything down and did something else. Then he came back, now he is gone again. I can understand why he got burnt out with it.

Keep in mind that he did all these tests for free, spending his own money and lots of his time running them on top of a job and family commitments.

It does seem a shame that his data has been taken down though, it would be nice to host it on OCN or similar - although it is Martin's decision, it is his work after all.

His username seems to be gone from the web as well. I just wish he would offer us some options to keep that valuable information, as was done the last time.

We all know he did the testing for free. I also fully understand it is his decision, I am not a moron. What is moronic is to just let it go without offering something constructive.

No worries guys, I had some really nice folks convince me to keep it going, I will keep the data on my site. I am just not allowed to copy my work over to these forums like I have in the past due to new OCN rules. My site will continue and thank you all for your kind words that's what makes all the work worth it.

Cheers!

I completely understand why he's not doing reviews on water cooling components any more, and I certainly don't blame him. It's tough to keep up with it, and you'll never be able to please everyone. I've considered going into publishing tests myself, but the added stress may not be worth the work and effort, especially with all of the issues caused by manufacturers, as well as regular people doubting your results.

Thanks Martin for you did (and tried to do). I'm sure it was a lot of work - to do it as a hobby must have been consuming. Your site gave myself and others a better understanding of how all these things work together. That's something the community will always have.

"The older you get ... the harder it is to interface with the Mystery. Yet adults still thirst for that connection, that alternative to the unsatisfying reality men have constructed for themselves, and which they feel locked into like a dungeon. So, they resort to all sorts of things -- a few enlightened, many destructive, most ineffective, some just plain silly -- that might allow them even a breath or two outside the prison walls. To a certain extent, that explains the appeal of beer. " Tom Robbins

All right, understood. Good luck. Cryin' shame. Your input has been one of the few lights of reason in this murky world of water cooling. Although a little better, there simply does not seem to be the interest in this discipline by the usual reviewers, such as AnandTech, Guru of 3D etc. The community at large, unfortunately, can, at best, give personal experience on a very limited range of items, and those opinions are of limited value due to the lack of controlled conditions and repeatable results.

Is it possible to compile your work into a section in this forum? This is a forum and it helps the community, because all those hard work shouldn't just disappear like that as its very informative for us all. If you allow your work to be shared and maybe a moderator can open a sub forum over here to compile all your good work.

Just an opinion, we shouldn't let people (in this case companies) to control what should be in the internet as its purpose is to help the society biggrin.gif
