Hi, thought maybe it’s about time I started a log for my Tj11 build.
I have gotten to where it’s up and running, but still have a lot that still needs to be done before I consider it done.
Now for why I chose this case, I had a couple of friends that tried talking me into moving into this case from my Sniper when it first came out. I thought it was a beautiful case but for some resin I just didn’t like the way the motherboard sat and the two fans on the mid-plate. I looked at almost every case out there, and there are some beautiful cases. But none had the look and elegance that I was looking for (in my mind anyway).
Then I saw the Murderbox MKll and I knew that was basically what I wanted. I wasn’t going to spend that kind of money on that case, even though I think I have spent about that or more on this case with tools and all. I thought about using the Tj07 but that case has been modded every way possible already. I looked for any other Tj11’s that had the motherboard rotated but couldn’t find any, I’m sure there is one but no luck. I was hoping to get some ideas. The Tj11 also has a lot more room.
My goals for this build were…
Rotate motherboard 90 degrees and stall be able slide out the motherboard tray
Rotate drive cage 90 degrees
Stealth as much of the wiring as possible
Try out Acrylic tubing
Fit a radiator up top
Use no rivets, all threaded screws
Figure out a way for subtle indirect lighting
Redo side panel
I will do this in steps as the build progresses. I have a lot of pictures but will try to keep it to a minimum.
Here is where I am at now…
