What did you lap it to? Did you start a lower grit and work your way up, Or just start at like 800+ and move your way up?

Yeah lapping was easier than I expected. I started with 600, then 800, 1000, 1500 and then used some Brasso metal polish with a lint free cloth to make it shine! I could have went to 2000, but figured that was probably overkill.

When I lapped, starting at around 1000 I added a small drop of dish soap to go with the water so that it would move smoothly across the paper and not "catch".

I have the same kit , first off its 3/8ths tubing , second the block is fine, not the best , but certainly not junk ,third you think his load temps should be 32c with an intel?
I have mine installed externally , 25c idle 35c load ambient 24c .
