Awesome thread. I had been thinking about moding my H70. I didn't realise it was I wasn't the only one with this idea.
After reading this thread I've realised the flaws in my plans. Like, the pump won't be able to handle all the rads I want to add. So this made me think that it's not worth it if all I'm doing is using th H70 rad and buying everything else. BUT, then I thought, what if I can save on buying a CPU block by using the H70 block.
So this is why I'm posting, to ask you guys if think it would work if I put another pump in the loop. Will this brake the H70 pump because it will be forced to spin faster?
Next week I will be buying two Hardware Labs Black Ice GT Stealth 240 Xflow, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-032-BX&groupid=962&catid=1523. I thought that these in conjunction with my H70 120 rad would be perfect for cooling my 4770K. They are very low restriction and very cheep.
And for absolutely no reasonable reasoning at all, in the first week of September I'll be adding a MORA 3 to the loop, lol. With no fans on it. I will add the vrm to the loop aswell (even though there is no need to water cool them).
What do you guys think? Will it be possible to use the H70 block in this way?

Hey, I'm a bit concerned about my H70 bracket, is it safe to put it on even though some of the foam is missing?

Is that the back bracket? If so, just put some electrical tape over the bits where the foam is missing so that there's no metal contacting the motherboard smile.gif

It seems I'll have to order another retention bracket for it...
I bought it second hand awhile ago to cool my GTX 560, and it seems my dealer didnt send the metal threads for mounting, and he cant find them...

Hi all!

Now this "easy" h50 mod is getting me all stressed out!... because of buying first wrong tubes (6-8mm), then the microbes barbs didn't work with that, so then I got the 8-10 tubing (btw.. its too flimsy and kinks pretty bad!... so had to get anti-kinks!).. then, new compression fittings for the reservoir, and after 2 weeks of waiting (I live in norway, and buyed from UK), so... they sent me a wrong product!! frown.gif so I took contact with the store, and they sent me immediately the correct ones I had ordered the first time!... so now I got them!

Ok.. in the meantime, I did install the radiator with pull pull config (all inside the case... the CM Storm Scout 1), and I did (had to) plug that 8 pin connector from the psu, as I had to squeeze the cable behind the graphic card, and behind the radiator.. so I did connect it, before the radiator and fans.. and now its inaccessible.

You may already be guessing my problem??... well I installed the reservoir, and the tubing with their antikinks... btw I used the 8-10mm from the pump to the reservoir, and from the reservoir to the radiator...but then I used the 6-8 from radiator to pump! wink.gif (I hope this won't make any problem, as it was impossible to bend (even with the anti-kink) in there without kinking!

So now, I was going to fill the reservoir, and jumpstart the psu, and remembered that 8-pin in the corner... that as I read now, its that what powers the cpu!! and now its impossible to remove!!

how am I going to do this?... I even buyer a syringe for pouring the coolant into the reservoir, as now its fixed into the case, and I can't remove it or tilt it... but I can remove the top screw and fill with the syringe and a tube.

so how do I run the pump without doing any harm.. now that the 8 pin is inaccessible?

arrrrgggghhhh.... do I have to uninstall EVERYTHING??? frown.gif

Please help me asap! frown.gif

(and no.. and don't have another psu to test it... and though it is modular (OCZ ModXtream 600w), the 8 pin and the 20+4 pin aren't... so its no way I can unplug those! frown.gif

Enlighten me!

-B-

Check out my rig!!

So I bought an H70 and the 600t when they first came out in '09/'10, can't remember exactly when anymore. Now, I've got the parts to mod mine, however, the Egg also had refurbished h100 for cheap. My plan is to use both rads 120 + 240 + swiftech mini res. My question is which pump should I use the H70 or the H100?

I would use both. You could use some black painted wood to make a cross shape or what ever to screw the pump to the H70 rad to keep it tidy. I say this because don't think the pumps are strong enough to pump two rads with a decent flow rate.

Thanks for the reply but I went with the H70 pump for now, if it quits on me then I have the H100 as a back up. I'll post picks tomorrow, I just DL'd the beta drivers for XF cards playing Ghosts Multi. I want to see if AMD fixed it.
