Hi
As the title says, would it be safe (or thoroughly not recommended) to sit my tft monitor on my XB360?

If its any monitor that gives off noticable heat, I wouldnt. The 360 gets hot enough on its own.

Well, heat rises, so unless the monitor is giving off heat out of its base, it shouldnt be much of a problem.

Again, TFT, go for it, CRT, dont even try it!

I personally don't like sitting heavy things like that on my 360, but I am sure it won't hurt anything too bad. Although I have to ask why you want to.

Most who don't understand don't care and most who do understand also don't care.
The only people with a problem are the people who don't understand but still care, but then that's the problem with most topics these days.

Just sit it behind your monitor if space is an issue , The 360 needs all the room to breathe it can get , The base of the monitor will probably keep in some heat....

Go Forth, to linux you must.

Aye, space is the issue - I'm getting p00ped off having to reach around the back of spkr/monitor to hit eject.
Man, am I lazy or what lol?

why don't you make a self for the monitor to sit above the 360 on, or have a look in ikea.

I had a 17" lcd on my 360 for a while with no problems. I'd say the biggest factor is the weight and stand type. If you have a big stand that covers up the vents, I would say no. Otherwise, so long as the 360 is too stressed weight-wise, it should be fine. I would never put a CRT on there simply because of heat (yes, heat does rise, but the ambient temps near the 360 will still be hotter) and weight (for obvious reasons).

Lol, you don't even know lazy until you have met me. I get pissed off when I have to click twice just to open my hotlinks. That's why I switched back to firefox from opera.
