I don't know if anyone has posted this before or not, I did a quick search, but didn't find it.
Using 3M Carbon Fiber Di-Noc for a mousing surface works amazingly. I just stuck it right to my keyboard/mouse tray. If you like a really slick mousing surface, this is the way to do it for a lot less than buying a high end gaming mousepad. And it looks real nice, too.
I just got a 12" x 12" sheet for $6.99 on eBay to try it out as I had never used it before. But now that I have used it, I will be buying much, much more. I want to coat the everything in it. lol
I'm going to redo it once I get more. The space I did is too small since I wanted some left over to do my mouse. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure I found one of the few rulers in the world that is completely marked and measured wrong. I measured out 8" x9" 3 times before I cut it, and ended up with 7"x8" plus a little extra on both. So I measured the ruler itself, and found that it is completely wrong.
That's what I get for using my nieces dollar store ruler, I guess.
