curently runnin cornoe e6400 at 3.2 ghz 400x8 1.345 votls
gigabyte ds-3 motherboard kingstone value ram 667(5-5-5-15) at 400mhz 1gbx2
i use thermaltake bigwater 745 with 1 double radiator it has 2 but seemd that it will make no difrence if all 3 radiators will work as i saw in more pro systems that radiator with 2 fans is anought
the prob is that in stock voltage i get some programs not run smothly
uped it to 1.345 but saw some pplz using 1.360 volts
is there any1 with same board or scpess can advise me what voltages to use and all the rest all settings aplyed,,,
searched thru many posts but can figure it out for sure
Change the dram from 800 to 667 by bringing down the CPU speed. Once you achieve stability then you can begin to lower the CPU Vcore and retest. Do this until you have the lowest stable vcore. Test with Orthos Prime.
Yes, you want to go higher. This is your beginning baseline
You go here and test. Then you begin to raise your fsb and your DRAM will raise concurrently. Since you have value dram and since 1:1 is the best place to be, you are not looking for maximum overclocks, rather as high as your dram will allow your CPU to go.
currently started test on memtest had stable no errors for 1 hour at 5/5/5/15 +0.2 vdimm
at prime orthos for now 2 hours only stable no errors tat shows 47/45 (full load) temps will see what be in morning .
clocked at 2.3 8x400 and 800 mhz for kingstone 667 value ram ...
tried the memtest at lower frequency's no luck ...
fsb+0.1 v.
mch +0.1 v.
cpu voltage 1.35 v.
You mean Clocked at 3.2? Running 800Mhz on the Dram at 5 - 5 - 5 - 15?
Not bad. Corsair Value DRAM DDR667 makes 800MHz with 2.1V @ 4 - 4 - 4 - 12 with six sticks I have tried. So it's nice to know the difference between Kingston Value and Corsair Value. Both making 800MHz from 667 on Value sticks is a good thing at any rate.
Orthos running for 9:30 hours and apps ran in background no problem.
Tat shows 48/46 temp's after 9 hours full load with thermaltake745.
Idle temps 40-42/36-37
Volts
Fsb:+0.1 Mch:+0.1 Vdimm:+0.2 Cpu Voltage:1.35 Pci Express:100mhz
any suggestions?
i thinkin of makin it to 3.4 and retest all settings.
started new over clock at 3.4 425x8 removed the mch to normal dram 0.2 5/5/5/15 tested memtest and stable 1 pass now stress testing using orthos
vcore at 1.347 tems running at 50-51 max load will see if all stable ill post pics and more specific details on how u got there
