So everyone, normally I just stick the amp when I play guitar but I've been wondering lately if I ran my guitar via usb into the computer with my quality sound card and my z-5500's would the guitar sound pretty good? I'm just wondering if it would be in stereo, or mono, or if there is some software that lets you set all this stuff up.
You might want to give this a try? I have used it for some time and very impressed with the sounds. There are a few other versions out there but the newest one is awesome. As far as stero you will have the option to set that in the settings. Let me know what you think.
I don't know about setting up a USB interface, but i've used a 6.3mm -> 3.5mm stereo converter to hook up my amp's line-out directly to my 540 watt stereo speakers and it sounds really good.
The z-5500's should sound real nice. If you have line-out on your amp and a 2-way stereo cable then you could probably just hook it up to your sound card's line in. But if you already have a USB connector then go for it
Use Guitar rig 3 and plug your guitar into the mic port on your X-fi and set to audio creation mode.
Then i use my sennheiser headphones. great sound imo.
might be worth a try mate.
