Right now i have slightly oc'ed my pc, but i want to upgrade my ram because it keeps giving me problems. I have been between crucial, corsair, and ocz. I have had quite a few people tell me that there ocz sticks won't run at the advertised timings at 2.2v, i have also had a few of them tell me they got a dead stick from them, i was already leaning away from them and this pretty much pushed them out of my choices.
So now i am down to crucial and corsair. I plan to oc more when i get my new sticks, still nothing extreme like water cooling, but i plan to get a zalman and see how far i can go on air.
Crucial first, G.Skill second, Mushkin third IMO. Well, I don't really rate them that way. I'd be happy to have any of those brands in my rig. I just trust Crucial the most.
i have 2 gigs of the OCZ Gold XTC. they work well and are dirt cheap if you get them from ncix. 42 bucks after the rebate right now. not a bad price at all. but expect to wait 5+ months for the rebate

every time i do a mail in rebate i never get back what i was suppose to, so i try to steer clear of them anymore
yeah if they don't give you the right amount call them. they always try to screw you around and not give you the money. they wouldnt send me my rebate because apparently i sent in the wrong upc code. i know i sent in the correct one but i sent it again and then finally got my rebate

Micron D9GMH's have proven themselves to be the best overclockers in mainstream memory modules. Many people have hit 1100-1250MHz with them at 5-5-5-15 timings and 2.2-2.3v. The Brand name isn't important when choosing memory, it's all about the IC's the memory uses.
DDR2 800 has either 4-4-4-12 timings or some cheap versions have 5-5-5-15 timings. You must consider both the speed AND the timings. DDR2 667 at 3-3-3-8 should perform about the same (probably a little better) than DDR2 800 4-4-4-12, especially in video games. Plus these sticks can easily overclock to DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 if you want, and can far exceed 1100MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings.
They actually got the memory to DDR2 800 with 3-3-3-9-1T timings, and they were using 4 modules! 2 modules should overclock easier than 4. Now will yours overclock exactly as theirs did? maybe not, but it should be close.
