When I got my Quadro, I put an 8800 GTS 320 in a computer that I built for my brother to game on... now its giving him all kinds of issues with artifacting and not being stable at stock speeds.. EVGA accepted the RMA request, but the question is, will I be getting back another GTS 320, or is that getting on the old side for them to have around? If I get something else back, what would be considered the cutoff for acceptable vs. unacceptable? (like an 8800 GS?)
An 8800GS would be a pretty awesome RMA as when they are overclocked they get about the same performance as a stock 8800GT. Although it is a 50/50 chance that you might just get a refurbished 8800GTS 320 back.
I'm ok with either, he's able to max out COD4 which is the only game he plays, and he destroys the benches in MS Word..
