Hey, I just found out my LCD display has about 50MS input lag, but I really have never noticed anything while gaming. do you think if I upgraded to a monitor with like 5MS I would notice a difference? better yet an CRT.
If you have space for a CRT and play at 1600x1200 or less and don't play in a basement dungeon I'd go for a CRT. I went to a TFT just for the bigger panel size, but every time I sit infront of my CRT I almost shivers from the non-laggy feeling

LCDs are actually quite nice. Decent monitors can about match the color reproduction of general CRTs to the regular user. Theyre also bigger, more convienant, and the wide screen is a major plus in my book.
If the screen youre looking at is over 16ms it is either very crappy or is a high end probably expensive monitor specializing in color matching. If you play games, a lower "input lag" can be noticeable as you will see whats known as ghosting. CRTs have the advantage here though they are constantly being updated and have ususally a pretty high refresh rate.
Yeah and I wonder when people stop being so ridicules about 100FPS when using a 60Hz TFT monitor, not meant to be pointed at anyone here but most people just don't get it.
