Meh. Gotta love ya Omega but GT only covers console games...which is unfortunate given that year after year the best games come to PC. (even console to PC games usually end up better on the PC depending on the developer)
I was going to flip if either GTA4 or MGS4 didn't win best action/adventure. I mean, they're all good games, but seriously. Those two games are two of the finest pieces of work and art the video game industry has ever seen, in my personal opinion.

This is completely and utterly wrong. Sins of a Solar Empire, for example, won best strategy game. It's PC exclusive.
Sorry bro...but when a "gaming" website says, and I quote, "We had to exclude Crysis from Best Graphics due to theoretical performance..."(2007) going on to say, "...we spent over two weeks upgrading our rig..." they only cover console. Yes there are few words spilled over our gaming platform but they are always inaccurate and bogus. Not to mention their interviews are filled with people who believe 'last gen' systems (PS3 and 360) are the END ALL in gaming.
GT is great for getting some trailers but trash for all else.

Just my .02.
Just because they excluded Crysis doesn't mean they don't cover PC. LOL

I wasn't saying that just because of Crysis...when a multiplat comes up they magically leave out the superior PC version. The reviews on PC games are terrible and Jeff Keighley is the worst spokesman EVER. You bring up anything other than a Sony product around him and he shudders. I was speaking in a general sense. Have you read the forums?? Those are a great indication of the site.

Since when? A lot of people run the game great and now that hardware is better the game sells like hot cakes
Gone are the days when games that push are hardware are deemed "great" because they force us to wait on the next great GFX card...all these kids want 32xAA NOW at maxed res
I'm really not bothering with GT anymore. They didn't even include MGS4 for best story nor Crysis Warhead for best graphics. Keyword "include". On every other site, MGS4 is a clear winner for best story. Last year they excluded the original Crysis with some lame performance excuses that most didn't find valid, and while it's justifiable for some to choose GoW2 over Crysis Warhead in graphics, GT just outright excluded Warhead. And GTA4 for best story? I can bet my life that those anime-like nominees are better in terms of story, not to mention MGS4. As for racing, "GRID, one of the most realistic and challenging..." and I just had to stop there. How do they define realism? Then they go on with other nominees, completely ignoring the existence of STCC The Game. STCC should at least be nominated if they were to use the word "realistic".
On a side note, they might as well rename them to the "most popular in [insert category here]" awards.

After seeing that MGS4 wasn't even nominated for Best Story - I completely agree. I mean, even if MGS4 wasn't the winner - HELL, it should've at least been nominated! Sure GTA4 was great story wise and all, it developed its plot quite well - but imo, it wasn't anything ground breaking that made me feel like I was reading a book (Valkyria Chronicles XD) or watching a well written movie (Bioshock, MGS4, Gears 2, ect.)
When they didn't included Crysis, I was like well - Warhead I guess most people for some reason thought it was an expansion pack. So I really didn't mind, because they obviously aren't the first to do so.
And GRID - I didnt even watch the racing one yet, I will now. Because GRID has to be one of the most UNREALISTIC car drivers I've ever played. Hell, Need for Speed is more realistic then that game I swear to god.
EDIT: Oh ok, the way you made it sound was as if GRID won. Burnout Paradise did
That I'm really great full for because the devs over at Critereon deserve awards like that and more. They don't get enough recognition imo. One of the best racing games I've ever played.
MGS4 should have won best graphics. It looks significantly better than Gears to me. (although Gears looks beautiful, and I would say it gets second)
I also think MGS4 should have at least been a nominee for best story. It's so in-depth and even convoluted (but in a good way, somehow!), and so incredibly epic! Although I do love GTA4's story. So I'm not mad that it won. But I think MGS4 should have been a nominee.

This isn't really directed at your post, but you add onto it
MGS4 has possibly one of the most complex and original story lines ever to grace video game history. Whether you think its a good one or not is your opinion but there is absolutely no reason for it to be at least a nominee.
Thankfully GRID didn't win best racing game. They even had the audacity to include the words "simulation" in their game description.
