Look at that Random Access time difference though, that's pretty substantial. The Raptor is nearly 1/2 the delay. If I remember correctly from your graphs, it was 9 ms versus 16 ms. Btw, did you ever test sustained speeds or just burst?

nice... i have a Q about raid... is it possible to have partitions in a riad setup? or will i be stuck with just one big drive?

Ya the 36GB Raptor is the worst of them all but still good. But Sccr is right, unless you do a lot of heavy file transfer and/or audio and video editing, access times are a better judge of performance. And, its cooler to say you have a meat-eating dinosaur in your PC.
