@AlphaC, Taichi or Aorus Gaming 7 if the price is the same?
@shilka, sadly those two ones you mentioned are not as quiet as those two ones stated in the original post. Accordingly to the Cybenetics, the only one over 600W that is virtually silent is SuperNOVA 850 T2. There was a revision by Cybenetics where, now, this and just two Corsair (mine and RM650x) are the only three over 500W awarded with Lambda A++.
Thank you.I expercience the same with my Corsair RM550x. My only concern is because PSU Calc has gotten me exaggerated numbers.I plan to build inside a be quiet! Dark Base 700. I'd add two extra fans, one being on bottom, using the shroud as a tunnel, with the cover over PSU taken off. i think it'd be perferct.
Thank you.Just a correction: if PSU Calc overestimates by 30%, so 630 / 1,3 = 484,6W. Your reasoning was to take 30% off 630W (630 * 0,7 = 441W), which is wrong. It's a common mistake we all make when we deal with percentage. By your measurements, how many watts that setup consumes out?About your quaston, I am sorry, but I did not get you well. It is not your faul. It is me who do not know English. If it is what I got, yes, Seasonic PRIME 600 W Titanium Fanless is out for...
I want the quietest PSU. Both are about 200 USD. Wich one is better for this? Intel Core i7-8700K @ 5GHz 1.35V WLAN PCIe x1 32GB DDR4-3733 (4 modules) MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X TRIO High-end PCIe x1 sound card Intel Optane 900p 480GB 4 x be quiet! SilentWings 3 140mm PWM 2 x USB 2.0 + 2 x USB 3.0 Using OuterVision PSU Calculator, I got about 630W as recommendation (with the 50W margin it put there). I suspect that is overkill, but I am not sure about. According...
I don't know.According this reviews, you can use a PWM fan on the header of VRM fan (Sys Fan 2). I guess you can monitoring and even control it through the UEFI.https://www.kitguru.net/components/leo-waldock/z370-aorus-gaming-7-from-gigabyte-high-end-intel-8th-gen-motherboard/Edit:By the pics, it looks like the tiny fan uses DC control (3-pin), but I wonder whther that board can control 4-pin (PWM) fan like it can do it through others headers.Howsover Noctua has DC...
Is worthwhile swap the stock 40mm VRM fan's Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 with this one noise-wise? http://noctua.at/en/products/fan/nf-a4x20-pwm
On the ASRock Z370 Taichi, does the LGM block the first PCIe x1 slot?
I am in the same boat. With that motherboard and aiming those games, I would to know: wich is better, 32GB DDR4-3200 C14 or DDR4-3733 C17 (both for 460 USD)? DDR4-3200 C14 bandwidth (MHz): 3200/14=228.6 DDR4-3200 C14 true latency (ns): 1/1600*14*1000=8.75 Baseline DDR4-3733 C17 bandwidth (MHz): 3733.333/17=219.6 DDR4-3200 C17 true latency (ns): 1/1866.666*17*1000=9.1 3.9% slower than abovementioned DDR4-4133 C19 bandwidth (MHz): 4133.333/19=217.5 DDR4-3133 C19 true...
Thank you.Is it a pro (because of taking link directly with CPU, since x8 is roughly the same x16 is for gfx), a con (cause gfx will be limited to x8 link) or just a trade off?
