They have their own markets. So I choose both.
AMD for APUs and budget chips, Intel for high end desktop chips.
But...if I absolutely had to choose, like in order to save a life or something, I might choose AMD. Just my bias.
Didn't read through the thread cus I'm in school.
But I have a feeling it's to do with a BIOS settings.
Look for the AHCI/IDE SATA port settings in the BIOS.
Switch it around and see if it works.
