From what I have studied of capacitors, I don't think they'll be replacing batteries any time soon. There's a fundamental difference on how they function.
Just get Linux on it (the RasPI), it is the only reasonable thing you can run on it. From there, DOSbox, SNES, NES, Game Boy. It might be able to do n64 or PS1 games.
