3D Mark is no longer accurate regarding stability. I can run 3D Mark for hours with no issue, yet I have to drastically lower the overclock if I want to play more than a few minutes within Battlefield3. The same goes for Heaven...

You should not, the Gigabyte is a great card ! I got a much worst than yours, can't reach 1200Mhz and less than +100 on memory ... Sure you could have take another GTX670 and get much further, just like you could with another exact same...
Well, I find my rig to be pretty silent, I only hear the CPU cooler. The only time I really hear it is when I'm reading a DVD ...
