Yes, I did mean the rpm (fan speed) signal and not the pwm signal. In my haste, I typed that wrong. The description in my pics are right.Instead of buying a new cable, just carefully remove that rpm pin from one of the fan connector and it will be fine.

Not all PWM Y-cables are created equal. Some are just not well thought out. For example, both fan connectors of the OKGear one has all four pins. This will confuse the mobo as PWM signals come from both fans. This is not good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812123298 Gelid one has done it right. One fan connector has 4 pins while the other has 3 pins. This is good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812718001
CPU bottleneck means a faster CPU will bring higher performance (framerate or higher graphics settings) for the GPU. So, the most basic and sure way to determine is to do a CPU scaling test. Simply run your game at various CPU frequencies (GHz) and plot a graph of framerate (fps) vs CPU frequency (GHz). If the graph exhibits a slope, this means there is a CPU bottleneck. if the graph levels off, then there is none. The steeper the slope is, the greater is the...
Coolant used in H80 is a mixture of propylene glycol and distilled water. Read this thread for more info:- http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30402 If you cannot find the Sierra Green or not too picky about the specific brand, simply use a mixture of 25% propylene glycol (low-tox antifreeze) and 75% distilled water and it is just as good. (Corsair basically gets their units from CoolIT and CoolIT has been using this ratio of mixture for a long time. )
2GB of a GTX670 will not pose much of a problem for SP BF3 at 3x1920x1080/1200 according to these reviews. It is still playable, especially if you turn down AA and use High instead of Ultra:- http://www.hardocp.com/article/2012/03/22/nvidia_kepler_gpu_geforce_gtx_680_video_card_review/10 http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/1452/pg6/nvidia-geforce-gtx-680-kepler-graphics-card-review-battlefield-3.html http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1887/4/ Even if you go to MP 64...
Yes, going from HD6870 CF to GTX670 SLI is a big big upgrade. Regarding the potential CPU bottleneck, there is no simple answer to this question. There are several factors in play. The potential depends on the game itself and varies from a game to another as well as the game settings you choose. I will try to point to you a 'general' assessment assuming your resolution is 1920x1080/1200. You can go through the graphs of the guru3d's review of GTX670 2 and 3-way SLI. ...
A HD7850 is not a particularly long card and so it should fit in most mid/full tower cases. There are many choices, indeed. Here are my 3 suggestions:- 1) Fractal Design Arc Midi http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352007 2) Lian Li Lancool PC-K62 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112239 3) Antec Eleven Hundred http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129178
OCCT is also a good program to stress CPU/GPU. It generates graphs as well. Below is a graph for Phenom II x4 810 for 1 hour Large Data Set test.
Actually ABS Canyon 695 does have optical drive bays. They are not facing the front but on the side. However, if it is your cup of tea and it is its hefty price ($600) that deters you from buying it, perhaps you can consider a very similar Lian Li X2000F. It costs US$450.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112289And for a case without any optical drive bay, I can think of Cubitek Magic Cube. It comes with three separate cases:--one for housing the...
