Yea, all my memory settings I set manually. The culprit seemed to be the C3 and C6 state support setting.
UPdate: Forceman, your fix seems to have fixed my freezing problem! After disabling the C3 and C6, I haven't had a freeze up yet! Thanks man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome guide man! Thanks!!!!!!
30ish on all 4 cores at stock settings using an H80 cooler
Awesome, thanks man. I'll try that if the last setting (memory power saver setting) I just did doesn't fix the issue. It would be nice if the cpu/mobo/ram was stable right out of the box since everything for the most part is on factory...
BTW, I see you have the same monitor as we have for our photo editing rig....great monitor eh? The NEC 2490Wuxi....
Thanks for the response Foreceman Everything is set to default/Auto....except for the memory saver thing I mentioned....which I disabled.
Computer keeps freezing after left idle for awhile. Anyone know what could be causing this? The latest thing I tried was disabling the power saver memory option (or something like that, forget what it was actually called) in the BIOS. ...
Figured it out...Zalman case has power switch button unhooked and cables tucked back inside of case....kind of silly if you ask me.
