The only time you need to manually align using diskpart is if your restoring a back up from a HDD to a SSD

Just do a backup and update to 1.5, then restore, not forgetting to put a 1mb offset using diskpart first so it's aligned. There is a decent speed increase from 1.3 to 1.5.
