I agree, for gaming a better option would be 1155 ... x58 is overkill and somewhat outdated. If you already have the chip... then do not do the big bang board.
I too am a bit confused.... how your supposed to keep the drive at this temp... when a normal room has an ambient of 22*c (72*F) so to expect it to be warmed up to and above 35*C is a bit confusing.
fellas.... he said he got the heat sink off and that the CPU is stuck... this makes me think its not a ZIF socket.... unless I am reading things wrong then yes heat it up and twist to disengage the heat sink off the CPU.
pics would help to determine the best course of action. I would be very cautious using any leverage. Is this in a ZIF socket? if not then yes it takes some force and you need a puller to eliminate damage.
