Drivers is my vote. Also make sure your power settings are not eco or power savings. That will throttle everything. Make sure you are plugged in and "Performace" or "Max" power management is slected.

My SSD did seem to slow down over time, but I don't think that is a fault of the drive. HDD's do the same things as bloat starts to build up from Windows and my bad habbits. Even my very full, old, SSD was much faster than the freshest...
