Not to defend Apples stance here but iOS users aren't missing out on much with mobile Firefox anyway. Even on Android, it's just not a very good browser. Performs horribly on any device I've used it on including my Nexus 4

This has never needed addons and the capability has always been there. This just means they're going to enable third party cookie blocking by default like Safari does.

If it's a security issue then I don't see anything wrong with this. Mozilla, for example, does this exact same thing with Firefox and bad plugins.
