Firefox has always had performance (lagging/freezing/etc.) issues either when opening multiple tabs or having multiple tabs open at the same time. Again, this is getting better over time thanks to Project Snappy.
Firefox (and thus Waterfox) has always been slower to load on a cold boot than Chrome/IE but it has gotten better over the last year or so thanks to Project Snappy. Firefox 19 does include several bug fixes which slightly helps startup...

Basically SRWare Iron is scam, Torch has modifications for torrents and multimedia, Comodo Dragon's focus is security and Coolnovo adds additional features....
