I did overclock them just nothing more then the what I did from CCC. I never upped the voltage and tried to see what I could max the cards at because I just didn't get around to it once my water blocks came in.

Nope it won't. They will still take your 7D back and replace or fix it if they need to even if it didn't have the kit lens with it. If you feel like a fast prime would be more useful to you then the kit lens then go for it.
