Just an update...I ended up getting this panasonic led:http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-TC-L55ET5-55-Inch-LED-LCD-Polarized/dp/B00752R9SM and am very happy with it. Got it open box for 900 and the pq is fantastic!

ok here are the models im looking at. I know itd be a lot of work for any of you to compare these and give me a recommendation but if anyone is willing...or is familiar with any and wants to provide feedback...itd be good karma...

they just aren't bright enough...i like my picture to really pop...

My 60" LG Plasma (pz550) died recently. Although it sucks...i'm kind of happy, because it wasn't a great TV and now I can buy a new one My budget is anywhere up to 1200$ (could stretch to 1400 if it was REALLY worth it). I am scorned...
