My 6970 which is the closest thing to a 7850 in term of performance really don't seem like simething easy to passive cool....

The fact that you * think* you have a 625W simply tells me that you need more W. Good branded PSU of 625W will be enough with no OC and a 1155 socket. Now depending onj your rig it could somply fall short...

7950 with the regular 3GB, no brainer.
