So I finally got my drivers to install correctly. After about ~5 attempts of different combinations of preparing my computer to install the updates. So now that they're installed it wont detect my GeForce 260.. this is stupid.

So now I took off my GeForce 260 to see if hopefully it will set it as the default one when I re-install the drivers. NOPE! Now it's failing to install the drivers AGAIN!

Ok so I managed to install the old drivers.. but now it's thinking that my 260 is the PRIMARY card! NO! I can't even access the nVidia control panel! It says I'm not connected to a display currently connected to an nVidia GPU!

Great.. now I can't even roll back to my previous drivers!! I'm friggin pissed right about now! Stupid nVidia drivers keep failing to install!
