The current socket is AM3+ and both Bulldozer (FX-x1xx/FX-6200) and Piledriver (FX-x3xx) are officially only supported on this socket, although some AM3 boards have received unofficial Bulldozer support. AM3 was the socket before AM3+...
There's almost no difference at all, but same goes for price, usually. 1600 MHz is the sweet price/performance spot.

In that regard, it seems like a very fine PC. I would think, however, that there's no reason not to go for 4 GB of RAM. Browsers can be fairly memory-hungry and being out of memory is extremely annoying.
