Set chat to astro usb device as you already have done, then in your sound card audio settings switch the audio to optical out and turn on ddl and you should be all set

Maybe a silly question, but is it possible to make it so some usb ports are always powered on even when the computer is off? I seem to be having some troubles trying to figure out how to do so.

When running the mixamp with a pc you will need a sound card or motherboard(audio chipset on mobo) that outputs in DDL for the mixamp to get the surround sound. Without DDL you will just get a stereo signal.

I have smaller hands and claw grip. I use the Logitech G9x. Works great
