Your CPU is fast enough such that you won't notice whatever upgrade you can get for $300. I wouldn't upgrade anything--but if you're really itching to upgrade, just RAID two SSDs.

Pretty sure the two chips aren't interchangeable. S478 is the desktop socket (Prescott), and Socket P is the mobile socket. Socket P also has 478 pins but the processors are not interchangeable.

Did some digging around--it seems that the MBA is as fast as my former OC'ed Wolfdale rig in SuperPi 1M and faster in wPrime. CPU tech has really advanced since I last checked haha.
