If u want to spend more i would get a cans upgrade but consider a Xonar DG with headphone amp section perhaps for a cheap experiment? If u want a portable DAC then perhaps have a look @ the Fiio E17?
Whoa u bought a close to $200 CAD sound card and want to buy $100 smallish speakers? I feel you are going to make more bad decisions so i would say just buy headphones with whatever $$ u have left
Ya i have my Lepai TA2020 for alomost 2 years now and that Class T amp is really efficient/cool running and under super heavy use it never gets warm ^^
In the UK look to stretch your quid and head down to places like Gumtree UK? For a 2.0 with good bass for music i would look at UK floor standers from the likes of Mission/Tannoy/Wharfedale/etc
