Thanks candy that looks like a great resource. Do you recommend using RAID, Intel Smart Response Technology or just installing the SSD as another drive. I have two other hard drives in the SIGRIG.

I'm trying to install my copy of Avid Media Composer 6.5.2 on windows 7. I can begin the install process but it stalls and I get the following error:  

I assume it's frozen as I've never come across a CHKDSK that takes so long and gets nowhere. I will leave it running over a few days and get back to you. I haven't got a win7 repair disc. Perhaps I could use a bootable pendrive? Cheers...
