I have the Phanteks PH-TC14PE inside my R4 on a 3770k. They're available in 4 or 5 colors. I have the RPM on the fans set on a curve (usually they're at idle, except when gaming). Can't hear a thing!

Why not just use the 430w by itself until you can buy a new one? My thought is yes, it will work especially if both PSUs share a power strip.
