I was looking around a bit last night and saw this http://www.ekwb.com/news/262/19/MSI-N680GTX-Lightning-to-get-FC-water-block/. I think I saw end of September somewhere, so it should be soon.
I'm thinking of picking up 2 or 3 of these cards pretty soon, but I'm curious if there's been any talk or rumor of the 4gb version? I kind of wanted to directly replace the 580 Lightning Xtreme 3gb cards I'm running now.
I've got multiple HP zr30w monitors with 1600p resolution. I've been using one for gaming for quite a while now and loved it. That said, I just purchased a 23" 120hz Asus vg236h monitor as well to give it a try. I'm pretty much sold that...
Have you found any other places to order that bitspower block for the lightning?
I like the Danger Den res for the 655 pump, but it is a bit more expensive than the XSPC....
They probably take an extreme amount of patience and delicacy to avoid breaking or cracking. Not really sure, but just based on the materials and how they look.

Looking at the PCB for both the regular lightning and the lightning xtreme, it looks like everything matches up perfectly. Once you get it on and tested I may take a chance and try to track 2 of them down for my 3gb...
In my situation number 5 gave me the best temps after testing almost every different fan orientation possible with temperature sensors all over the case. However, it was fairly dependent on my own components and placement of the case....
Great pictures. How's the air flow through the filters? I've got quite a few cougar fans that I've been thinking about adding filters.
