I had a Highly OC'd GTX 680 (1300 core) running with a 3.8ghz X6 (1600T) and it ran like a dream, very little noticeable bottleneck

Honestly I'm a bit upset, however, if they can make a game look better while using an older engine then by all means go for it. It actually might give them time to make the game itself better as opposed to "It's the same stuff, but...
