Wrong. At 20nm, TSMC has just one process, 20SoC, but at 22nm and 14nm, Intel has both a high performance processes and low power processes. Please do your research before making incorrect statements. The 22nm processes at Intel are internally codenamed P1270 and P1271 (high performance and low power, respectively) and the 14nm ones are codenamed P1272 and P1273.There will be 14nm BGA desktop processors, but there will be no LGA 14nm processors. Broadwell will be skipped...
fateswarm, At the 20nm node, TSMC still is not implementing FInFETs, and even TSMC's upcoming "16nm" node will only offer performance/power characteristics roughly on-par with Intel's 22nm node (it's called "16nm" to signify generational shift to FinFET, but in terms of size/density, it's a 20nm process). At 77W, Ivy Bridge 4C/8T already matches/beats a 130W+ FX 8350, so AMD is already getting lapped in performance/watt. This "pre overclocked" to OEMs only (so that proper cooling can be used) is just a further sign that AMD is desperate to try to win back enthusiast mind share...and they are failing hard.

Broadwell is coming in 1H 2014. Just not for enthusiast desktops...but Intel will have Haswell-E for that, anyway.
You obviously have zero idea how hard it ts to get 5-10% out of a processor architecture on the same process node.
