Okay will do. I was looking for something like that, but you gave me the answer already. EDIT: this is weird, it was already set to Never install driver software from Windows Update.
When I uninstall the drivers, it says I have to restart my laptop. Once restarted, it automatically installs drivers for the touchpad. Is that going to be a problem when I enable verifier? EDIT: this is the same driver, from 2009.
Of course, give me max 10 minutes.

Okey, enable Driver Verifier and restarted. Once the logon screen appeared, the little sound it plays was a little "choppy"; as if it was being interrupted. After I got to desktop, it crashed. Now, it is restarting, and checking the file...
Crucial M4 or Samsung 830. You can't go wrong with either.
Guys, I want to install Win 8, how can I back-up my progress? EDIT: would a simple copy/paste of my profile work? NVM, got it.
