Hi Jue, I just did the scenario you mentionned.
I bought a 27inch 144hz monitor 1920 x 1080p. (ASUS VG278HE). I had a 25.5 inch 1920 x 1200 60hz monitor before.
The only bad thing about my new monitor is the pixel density in any game...

BF3 at high = avg 115 fps.
ultra 95-100.
WoW ultra 8X AA = 100 avg. 60 in high pop area.
Tomb Raider 2013 - The setting just before Ultimate(i don't remember if it's high or extreme) avg 100...

Oh well, after reading hundred of comparison and review ... i went with the VG278HE model.
